1pm: Patty Larkin
Drive-In Concert | Back Parking Lot
Patty Larkin is a visionary of sound and wonder, a real deal version of artistry made of equal parts guitar wizardry, vocals shot through with soul, and inventive lyrics that ripple across the terrain of the heart. Described as "riveting" (Chicago Tribune), "hypnotic" (Entertainment Weekly), and a "drop-dead brilliant" performer (Performing Songwriter), Patty has captured audiences for over 30 years with an imagination, enchantment, and technical artistry that has redefined the boundaries of the guitar driven singer-songwriter. Learn more about Patty Larkin.
Following Patty Larkin’s set, Saturday Pass holders will be escorted to The Glen.
Folk Weekend Saturday Passes are $175 per vehicle up to 5 passengers and get you access to the full lineup below. (That's less than $15 per concert, per person for parties of 4 or 5!) Bands will play our drive-in concert stage in the back parking lot, plus our new outdoor stage in The Glen. But don’t wait! Only a limited number of all-day passes are available.
3pm: Jeremiah Tall & The Lore
Concert in The Glen
Reinforced with the will of the wild and strengthened by the stories of mankind’s struggles with desolation, Jeremiah Tall pulls his inspiration. Making his home in Bucks County, PA Tall finds himself writing the next chapter in his story. Three years since the debut LP Where The Lore Began, along with thousands of miles on the road, Tall landed on stages with greats such as Steve Earle, Gary Clark Jr., and Langhorne Slim, in addition to sets at The Philadelphia Folk Festival, Bethlehem's Musikfest, The Devil's Backbone Hoopla, and Oyster Ridge Music Festival. He now has his aim on a third release, From Bare Bones. Learn more about Jeremiah Tall.
This set is only available with an all-day pass due to the intimate size of The Glen (lawn seating). We recommend bringing a blanket or low lawn chairs for setting up on the grass.
Our on-site restaurant, The Farmhouse at People's Light, is the perfect place to grab dinner between Jeremiah Tall & The Lore and Amythyst Kiah. The Farmhouse is also open throughout the afternoon as a place to cool off, grab a drink, or order takeout to be delivered to your vehicle during one of the drive-in concerts. Please note that food and drinks are not included in all-day pass purchases. Specific instructions about pre-ordering and dining at The Farmhouse, along with discount codes, will be emailed to Saturday Pass holders a few days before July 24.
6:30pm: Amythyst Kiah
Drive-In Concert | Back Parking Lot
Amythyst Kiah was just named June’s Artist to Watch by WXPN, and hailed as "one of Americana’s great up-and-coming secrets'' by Rolling Stone. With an unforgettable voice that’s both unfettered and exquisitely controlled, the Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter expands on the uncompromising artistry she most recently revealed as part of Our Native Daughters, an all-women-of-color supergroup whose Kiah-penned standout “Black Myself” earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best American Roots Song and won Song of the Year at the 2019 Folk Alliance International Awards. Learn more about Amythyst Kiah.
A note about health and safety: We are following current PA regulations for outdoor events and will update our guidelines should regulations change. Please review the full “Know Before You Go” section below before purchasing your pass. Be prepared to follow all event guidelines so that we can ensure a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all.

8pm: End of Day
This schedule is approximate. We will strive to begin and end each concert on time.
Because we will begin and end the day with a drive-in concert, all-day passes are ticketed by vehicle, not per person. Folk Weekend Saturday Passes are $175 per car, limited to 5 passengers (not including children under 12). There are no physical tickets for these events. Attendees will receive a confirmation email receipt immediately following purchase, as well as a reminder email with more details a few days before Saturday, July 24.
When You Arrive:
People’s Light is located at 39 Conestoga Road in Malvern, PA. The first drive-in concert takes place at 1pm in the back parking lot. Please plan to arrive no later than 12:15pm so we can get everyone parked in time.
An attendant will greet you as you approach the concert area. Please provide your name so we can check your ticket status. Your car will be assigned a number, which will be adhered to your back windshield by the attendant. This is to assist in food delivery for those who pre-ordered from our on-site restaurant, and is also a helpful safety measure. Parking attendants will guide you to a parking space in the front reserved for all-day pass holders.
Cars will be parked based on the size of the vehicle, facing the stage. Lower cars in front, bigger vehicles in the back. Vehicles that don’t fit in a parking space (such as campers or oversized trucks) will not be allowed entry. Your view of the stage will be dependent on your location and the number of large vehicles in the lot, so we recommend bringing your smallest vehicle!
Vehicle Protocol for Pass Holders:
Every vehicle will be assigned a "Home Space," an adjacent parking spot where you can set up lawn chairs. This space will be on the driver’s side of your vehicle, as all vehicles must face the stage. Saturday Pass holders are welcome to hang out in your home space throughout the day.
For safety considerations, we discourage all-day attendees from moving your vehicle once you have parked. Should you decide to leave campus or move your car, you will need to pack up your home space, check back in upon your return, and will not be guaranteed the same parking spot.
Please turn off your car when you park and make sure your hatchback/trunk is lowered so your neighbors can see. We do not encourage people to sit in a car that is idling for more than ten minutes.
Don't forget to turn your lights back on at the end of the night!
2+ Car Parties:
With vaccinations rolling out, we realize that your social circle may be expanding. If you wish to attend Folk Weekend with a larger group, you will need to coordinate your arrival so your cars (5 person max per car) can be parked together. Please plan for all cars in your party to meet up in the front parking lot so you can drive into the first 1pm concert together.
We’ve officially christened the open, green space between our Leonard C. Haas and Steinbright stages—The Glen offers a more intimate setting to enjoy live outdoor programming than our drive-in stage. After the parking lot is cleared following Patty Larkin's performance, all-day pass holders can make their way to The Glen on foot for Jeremiah Tall & The Lore at 3pm. The Glen is lawn seating; we recommend bringing blankets or low lawn chairs if you don't want to sit on the grass.
Food and Beverages:
Our on-site restaurant The Farmhouse at People’s Light, located at the front of our campus, is open throughout the day as a place to cool off, grab a drink, order takeout, or enjoy a sit-down dinner between acts. Specific instructions about pre-ordering and dining at The Farmhouse, along with discount codes, will be emailed to Saturday Pass holders a few days before July 24.
Concessions, including water, soft drinks, beer, wine, and light snacks, will also be available for purchase at each concert.
Please note that food and drinks are not included with your Saturday Pass. Outside alcohol is strictly prohibited.
There will be three standard portable toilets, one ADA-compliant portable toilet, and two double wash stations located in the parking lot.
All ages are welcome to attend Folk Weekend. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Fireworks, sparklers, grills, weapons, smoking (this includes cigarettes, cigars, and cannabis), and illegal substances are prohibited.
We love our pups here at People’s Light, but for liability and insurance reasons we cannot allow them on the property during our outdoor events, with the exception of service animals.
If you have food or drinks delivered to your Home Space, we will give you a plastic bag to put your trash in. It would be a big help if you could take your trash home. If you don’t want to do that, please tie up your trash in the bag and leave it in your Home Space. We will pick up garbage when the parking lot is empty.
Please note that attendees might be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes.
