In the Community

We at People’s Light prioritize civic engagement with our community. In addition to plays, we produce cultural events and host civic activities on our 7-acre campus. Off-site, we create programs/activities through meaningful partnerships, and participate in a wide range of community events.

Celebrate National Coming Out Day with your LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors at a pre-show reception before the 7:30pm performance of Dot.

Saturday, October 12, 1pm

Meet local author Alice Thomas and hear about her new book "Surviving Racism: A Memoir of Life, Love,and Faith - The Charles & Alice Thomas Story" at B. Reed Henderson High School in West Chester, PA.

Alice, a longtime resident of West Chester's East End, served as a gracious and knowledgeable resource during the development of Mud Row.

Caregiver Affinity Conversation

Sunday, October 20

Following the 2pm performance of Dot, Nadira Beard and Julian "Juke" Mayfield will facilitate an affinity group conversation for caregivers. This event is free and open to anyone, even if you did not attend the 2pm performance, but tickets to the show are available at the link below.
