Spread the spooky spirit, spend quality time with your loved ones, and enter to win fabulous prizes! Submit your Halloween display into our Spooktacular Decorating Contest, brought to you by the People’s Light Production Department.
Choose a place in your home visible to your neighbors – porch, window, front door, you name it! – to get a scary or silly Halloween makeover. Take a photo of your display (bonus points if you’re in the photo in costume) and enter to win via the form below by October 25. In the days leading up to Halloween, we will share all submissions for the public to vote on.
- This is a family-friendly competition. No realistic gore or violent scenes, please.
- Safety first! No open flames or fireworks.
- The deadline to submit your display is Sunday, October 25.
- Voting is open to the public from October 27 through October 31. Check back on our website at that time for the link to the voting page.
And the winner is...
Actually, two winners will be announced on Monday, November 2nd!
The People’s Choice, chosen by online public voting, receives $100 worth of gift cards to some of our favorite stores. The People's Light Choice, chosen by our very own production team, receives $100 worth of People's Light and Farmhouse treats. The Farmhouse is offering outdoor dining through the fall (including Acoustic Fridays with music) as well as contactless takeout, but you can also redeem your prize in the spring – our gift cards never expire.
And of course, both winners get major bragging rights!
Need some decoration inspiration? Every week, our production team is bringing you a new video tutorial for a creative, creepy craft to level up your Halloween decor.
Tune in the last week of October for a virtual telling of seasonal campfire tales, performed by some of your favorite company members via ZooOOooOom.
Leonard C. Haas
Gothic folk-rock band 49 Burning Condors kicks off Halloween season in our parking lot at the last drive-in concert of our Fall Series, on October 18. Following in the footsteps of icons like Johnny Cash and Fleetwood Mac, they "thrive off ghost stories and all manners of good-for-nothing witches." Limited tickets available here (1 ticket per car).
If your little ones are missing trick-or-treating, check out our Dance Days on the Lawn Halloween Special on October 31! Part of our fall theatre school, this socially-distanced dance activity is designed for 5-7 year olds and their families. Learn more here.
Drop by from Tuesday, October 27 through Halloween to see the outside of our Leonard C. Haas stage decked out for Halloween! Our production team is hard at work creating theatre-sized versions of the spooktacular decorations YOU can make at home with our YouTube tutorials.
