Grisele Gonsalez

(She/her) People’s Light debut. Grisele is a Scenic Designer from Tijuana, Mexico, who grew up on the San Diego/Mexico Border. Theatre Includes: Grisele discovered her true passion for scenic design when she began an internship with the Tony Award regional theater La Jolla Playhouse under the supervision of Prop Master Debra Hatch. Her design credits include The Sins of Sor Juana, directed by Helen Hayes and Barrymore award-winner playwright Aaron Posner (American University); Midsummer’s Nights Dream, Certified Organic and Chasing the Ghost (NJIT/Rutgers University), Las Azurduy (Brava Theater in San Francisco, CA), RENT (Yale University), Oyeme, the Beautiful (Imagination Stage in Washington D.C), The Shorts (Theater Row in NYC). Upcoming productions include Hurricane Diane at People’s Light, The Return of Eva Peron: Momia en el Closet at Gala Hispanic Theater. Training: MFA in Scenic Design (Pennsylvania State University).
