Robert Kaplowitz

(He/him) People’s Light: Personality: The Lloyd Price Musical, A Number, Nina Simone: Four Women, The Secret of Sherlock Holmes, The Return of Don Quixote. Robert has spent the last 28 years designing sound and composing; he has been honored with an OBIE for Sustained Excellence and a Tony for Fela! Much of his passion for this work developed under Jim Houghton’s mentorship. Other collaborations include work with Ruben Santiago Hudson, Kittson O’Neill, Regina Taylor, Bill T Jones, Steve H. Broadnax III, Bill Sims Jr., Bobby McFerrin, the National Museum of Prague, the National Constitution Center, and many others. Film/Television Includes: After/Glow for Helios Films; Opera Philadelphia’s Digital Commissions. He also creates museum installations, runs Nine Hostage Arts, is a cofounder of We Embrace Fatherhood, teaches at Princeton and loves his family.
