Liz Filios

Liz Filios is an actor, composer and teaching artist. People’s Light credits include Wendy in Peter Panto, Emily Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (‘21), Foley Artist/Music Director in The Matchmaker, Guinevere/Torch in Arthur & The Tale of the Red Dragon, Sudsy Squirrel in Cinderella: A Musical Panto and Belinda/Flavia in Noises Off. Liz is the writer/composer of The Department of Small Things, Sweetwater and Twelfth Night O Lo Que Quieras. Regional credits include: Passion, Candide, Sunday In The Park With George (Arden Theatre), Eurydice, There in the Light and the Darkness… (Wilma Theatre), Into the Woods (Theatre Horizon), An Iliad (Lantern Theatre, Pennsylvania Shakes), Midsummer: A Play With Songs (Inis Nua), Me… Jane (Kennedy Center National Tour), Il Racconto d’Inverno (Teatro Avvaloranti), and The Tempest (South Coast Rep & Chicago Shakespeare Theater). Liz has taught for the Pennsylvania Theatre Institute, Play On Philly, Opera Philadelphia, Arden Theatre, Waldron Academy, Abington Friends School, Arcadia University and The Pig Iron School for Advanced Performance Training. She is a Barrymore Award Winner, an Independence Fellow, and a recipient of the Haas Award for Emerging Theatre Artist. Liz holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from the University of Michigan. She is the Director of Artist Training at People’s Light.
