JOB DESCRIPTION
Part-Time, Thursday through Sunday
The Farmhouse at People's Light is seeking bartenders and servers for its restaurant and catered events. Applicants must be professional, good communicators, and team players. Prior experience and friendly communication are required. A neat appearance, engaging and friendly personality is appreciated. The Farmhouse is looking for efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable team members. Bartenders and servers report to the Restaurant Manager and Director of Operations. The Farmhouse is directly connected to People’s Light and will educate Farmhouse staff on the Theatre so that they are knowledgeable of the organization's purpose and mission. A love of theatre and arts is a bonus. Knowledge of ToastTab is ideal, but not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Welcoming guests, reading and listening to people to determine preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
Having knowledge of the menu and informing guests about beverages and specials.
Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
Checking identification to ensure customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol.
Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate, and returning correct change to patrons.
Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash and cleaning tables.
REQUIREMENTS
Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required. RAMP certified
Availability to work nights, weekends, or holidays.
Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
Math and computer skills.
Exceptional communication skills.
Strong task and time management abilities.
Eye for detail
Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.
PAY
Restaurant Servers receive $15 an hour.
Bartender and Banquet Servers receive $20 an hour.
