JOB DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate also thrives with timelines; each event is tightly timed and learning and reacting quickly and efficiently is important to the team and the performance as a whole.

The Assistant Lighting Supervisor will:

— assists Lighting Supervisor (LS) in prepping instruments for lighting hang

— works with LS and overhire crew in hanging and circuiting each show

— board op for programming (ETC Ion) during Tech in rotation with other electricians

— works with LS to handle notes, changes, and problem solving during tech

— share pre-show check duties with LS during the run of each show

— works with LS and overhire crew in striking each show

— helps resolve and maintenance lighting inventory after each show

— other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· ABILTY TO READ A LIGHT PLOT

· Comprehensive knowledge of standard Lighting instruments

· Familiarity with basic rigging

· Familiarity with basic Electrical wiring

· Physical demands include, but are not limited to, lifting, bending, climbing ladders and stairs

· Able to work independently, proactively, and with a positive attitude

· Interest and enthusiasm for working on live shows

· Strong communication and listening skills

· Valid Driver’s License

· A commitment to Equity and Inclusion

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

· Previous stagecraft experience

· Proficiency in Vectorworks and Lightwright

COMPENSATION & APPLICATION INFO

$30,000/year, Full Benefits. Full time Non-Exempt.
