If you are interested in auditioning for People's Light, here's what you need to know: People’s Light is a LORT D theatre. We maintain a resident company of over 20 actors, but we also cast some Equity and non-Equity roles from outside the company. Upcoming Audition Opportunities:
Due to the spread of COVID-19, the Equity Principal Auditions and Open Call originally scheduled for March have been canceled. We will continue to monitor the situation and reschedule auditions when it is safe to do so.
We hold annual Equity Principal Auditions (EPAs, or “generals”) at People’s Light and in New York City.
Any currently available positions at People's Light will be listed below.
Some of our planned internships may be interrupted this summer, but we are still eager to hear from students with interest in our work so we can offer appropriate mentorship as our evolving situation allows. We believe it is important to create opportunities for early career professionals whose studies and productions have been interrupted this spring, even if we must be more creative about how we connect.
People’s Light Interns are welcomed into our company’s work, and quickly incorporated as invaluable contributors to our efforts. We seek motivated self-starters who are excited to learn by doing, to observe many facets of a robust regional theatre’s daily activities, and to bring their curiosity and drive to any task set before them.
Current opportunities are primarily for Summer 2020; however, the application form also invites candidates to indicate any interest in semester opportunities.

People's Light is seeking volunteers!
Volunteer candidates are energetic, hardworking, and team-oriented. As a volunteer you will primarily serve as Greeter, Ticket Scanner, or Usher during our productions; however we do have various opportunities throughout other areas of the theatre. Everyone is required to attend a Volunteer Orientation and Training before they begin volunteering, in order to be fully integrated into our Volunteer Guild. If you are interested, or would like more information, please fill out this form. We look forward to working with you!
We do not accept unsolicited scripts at this time.
People’s Light seeks to recruit and retain a diverse workforce as a reflection of our commitment to serve the people of Chester County and our surrounding community.
