Script-to-Stage Series

For 2010-2011, People’s Light will offer a new program for adults interested in a deeper look at the plays included in our Adult Series. Members in the Script to Stage Series will read the scripts, analyze the scripts in a workshop setting, attend the productions and discuss the work afterwards with artists involved in the production.

Members will receive the following:

  1. A copy of each script in the adult series
  2. A two-hour workshop on Sunday afternoons with guest artists involved in the production
  3. 2010-11 6-Play Subscription. Performance times are Tuesday evenings following the Sunday workshop
  4. A private Talkback immediately following the performance. Wine and Cheese will be provided.

The 2010-2011 Script to Stage Series, will include One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest by Dale Wasserman, Legacy of Light by Karen Zacarias, The Master Builder by Henrik Ibsen, Dividing the Estate by Horton Foote, Hatchetman by David Wiltse, and our musical Panto The Three Musketeers by Kathryn Petersen. Guest artists will include, but are not limited to: Abigail Adams, Artistic Director; Lee Devin, Senior Dramaturg; Elizabeth Pool, Resident Dramaturg; Graham Graves, Guest Dramaturg; Jim Pyne, Resident Designer; Susan McKey, member of the acting company. We ask that participants attend every Sunday workshop scheduled.

Cost: In addition to your regular subscription costs, Script to Stage participants will pay an additional $300. Space is limited to 20 subscribers.

Dividing the Estate
Class: Sun 5/15 @ 4pm – 6pm

Hatchetman
Class: Sun 6/26 @ 4pm – 6pm
